Global Leader in Routers and Equipment |
Project type: organizational management system via Dashboard |
Project summary: In response to this global leader's requirements, the EDI senior project manager consultant for ERP, Datamart and Executive Dashboard applications was responsible for starting a new IT department to support the client's Customer Advocacy Finance group. This is a 70-person organization that provides global financial management for the service business, managing annual revenues of over $1 billion with a growth rate of nearly 100 percent. |
|
The consultant hired and managed a development staff of eight people who supported several applications. The team performed portfolio analysis for the department, working closely with business management to plan and fund IT projects. EDI also supervised several technical teams on various projects including enhancements and support of a B2B service contracts application, development of a Web-based training program and design and development of a Web-based product warranty through Datamart that saves the company $10 to $15 million annually, from customizations to Oracle ERP (OE, AR, GL), as well as remediation and testing of Y2K compliance for all applications supported by the group. Executive Direction became the IT champion for a departmental Datamart, analyzing business requirements and evaluating DW tools. The team successfully performed business and systems analysis to recover a $40 million revenue backlog. |
